The Unknown Talent - A Story of Self-Determination

A Digital Media Agency deals in digital ad campaigns for Brands and manage their portfolios. For all the digital media campaigns various resources are used, in which a key resource is the Animator, who creates Moving or Interactive Banner Ads and Flash Videos for Brand Campaigns. This is a story of an exceptionally talented animator who has no formal education, whose name is Ahmad, originally from a village far across Lahore region and initially came to Lahore just as a simple mason.

I know him from a very long time and he is one of the rare cases with exceptional determination that pushed me to write a motivational article to praise people like him. He is undoubtedly a hardworking and goal seeker person, going through many phases of hardships that Life always has to offer to everybody seeking success and achievements. Just as he started off as a mason, after sometime passed away, he was appointed as a fabric cutter in a garments factory at a very low salary to live off his house expenses. But his passion to grow more took him to an advertising office, where he started his career in a new dimension as an office boy at a salary, three times of the last pay.

He was more than happy and joyous to had such a jump in his career growth in-terms of remuneration, but to suffice his passion of growth, he started learning to create animation from a Senior Animator at the said office. As time passes, gradually but steadily he got a good grasp of animation thing and started to create animations, despite of the fact that he has never ever gone to any kind of schooling.

With the passage of time, that very person has now become a core part, earning a handsome salary package from the organization that has a name in the digital ad world. I've been observing that person's action-ability and eagerness to grow more for which the results pushed me to raise awareness on "determination to grow more" by this short article.

This article is solely to promote a culture of "Grow More" and "Self Determination", so that the ages coming forward would act & follow this to catch success in life. Also, the core motive of this short note is to push and buck up those people, who due to lack of schooling & education, stay dark, living shadowy lives with a state of no/low self-confidence ending their lives all in vain.

So, the message is clear and loud that don't back off, don't ever hesitate to set your goals, don't dare to live shadowy life, don't waste yourself in useless worries even if you lack in education and experience. Buck Up yourself, compose yourself, tie-up the knots to your goals and there you go for success.

Always Ready for a NO!

Selling is an art that needs a very rigorous, tough and an intelligent training off-course. But, when it comes to practicality, it goes even more challenging especially for Newbies. Either it is One-to-One Marketing or it is something beyond this, a salesperson all has to do is Always Ready for a NO. One cannot be so sure of that the product he/she is trying to sell will either a success or a failure, but it could be possible that its product may got some voice in the society.

Being ready for a NO from your customer gives you a strength to move on to the next and keep up the pace until your product starts selling. In other case, the sales personnel might get hopeless of his/her commodity and despite of all the product features, sales plans & strategies, sales pitch etc etc... The sale of the product/service goes to dogs.

In the world around us, we can see many big examples, who started off with a small idea initially with difficulties, but eventually transformed to big setups and today they are known as Giants of Industry or Success Stories. One such example is of an American Fast Food Chain known as KFC - Kentucky Fried Chicken.

The fast food chain that was started by Col. Sanders with his secret fried chicken recipe of 11 herbs. Initially as a stall and saw many ups & downs, but as time passes, his determination in setting up his own business makes it all, what he needs. He faced an era of Low Resources in WW2, He faced disasters and many more things, but one thing made him keep up the pace, is his determination to grow. Now, today we see this very chain of Fast Food restaurant as the World's Second Largest Fast Food Chain after McDonald's1 (which is another Big Success Story).

Concluding the post to its end, there is left only one thing that should be taken in to account while performing selling tasks i.e. "DETERMINATION".
